Dearfoams is Helping to STOMP Out Bullying
Together We Can STOMP Out Bullying!
One of the biggest concerns for parents in this age group is bullying. It seems every year we hear stories of bullying starting at younger ages and the numbers aren’t getting smaller. While schools and parents work tirelessly to educate students and set up “bully free” zones, the problem just isn’t going away.
In our house, I’ve found one of the best ways to prepare my daughters for how to handle bullying is with role play. We set up scenarios that could – or have – happened and we work out the best way to react if they find themselves in that situation. Granted, if it does happen, there’s no way it will play out like it did at home but at least they have something to pull from should the need arise.
It’s not just parents and schools that are getting behind the anti-bullying movement. Non-profits and major companies are signing on to make a difference as well which is why we’re excited to tell you about the initiative that Dearfoams currently has and encourage you to help spread the word!
For more than 65 years, it’s been Dearfoams mission to make people comfortable. With its new tween/teen line and partnership with STOMP Out Bullying, Dearfoams wants to help make young people comfortable not only in slippers but comfortable in their own skin.
Dearfoams wants to help tweens/teens #BeComfortableBeYou; that’s why they’ve developed a new line of slippers for tweens/teens and partnered with STOMP Out Bullying™, the leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying organization for kids and teens in the United States. They are committed to donating $100,000 to STOMP Out Bullying™ to support anti-bullying efforts.
Dearfoams’ fall 2015 collection includes a new slipper line designed for tweens and teens. The slippers have bright, bold colors and patterns in a variety of styles, such as moccasins, scuffs and booties. Good luck getting your kids to NOT wear them 24/7! They are so soft and super cute – you may need to get a pair for yourself!
The best part is that by purchasing Dearfoams slippers for your teens and tweens and participating on the #BeComfortableBeYou hashtag, you can show your support too. The slippers start at $16 and are available on Dearfoams.com and a variety of retailers nationwide. You can see a couple of the varieties in the picture above!
Learn more at Dearfoams.com and STOMPOutBullying.org and follow @Dearfoams, @STOMPOutBullyng and #BeComfortableBeYou to learn more about the partnership, get tips on how to help stop bullying, receive comfort inspiration and more.
Their goal is to generate 100,000 social shares/comments/posts on the #BeComfortableBeYou hashtag to raise awareness and attention to this important cause.
So what can you do to help?
