“I NEVER Acted Like THAT!” Says the Teen…

It’s so funny how kids, as they get older, think they NEVER acted or did the things that young kids do when they were the same age. My 17-year-old gets annoyed with his 4-year-old twin brothers’ antics, along with the sheer volume of the same questions over and teen karmaover.

This is the same kid that when at age 4, someone sat on the left chair on the patio he would scream: “It’s MINE! GET OUT NOW!” He would have pushed a 90-year-old Grandma out of that chair.

He cannot wrap his mind around the fact that he was like this at this age, too. I like to just sit back and listen to him trying to reason with them. It’s hysterical.

A typical conversation goes like this:

Twin: What’s the truck doing?

Teen: It’s driving.

Twin: Where’s it going?

Teen: Uh, I don’t know, to work.

Twin: Good job, Teen! What’s the truck doing?

Teen: I already told you it’s driving.

Twin: Yes, and it goes to work.

Teen: Yes, it’s driving and going to work.

Twin: Teen?

Teen: (sigh) yes?

Twin: What’s the truck doing?

Teen: ARGH, it’s going to the pits of hell and dragging back demon trucks to kill us all!

Twin: Oh. Where’s it going next?

Teen’s head explodes.

Karma, baby, it’s just karma.
